Building on the success of its 1995 predecessor, this 2nd Edition of Open Pit Mine Planning and Design has been both updated and extended into a complete and authoritative account of modern open pit mining. New chapters on the reporting of mineral resources and ore reserves, and on responsible mining were added to better guide the reader regarding asset definition and to provide a balanced presentation of the relationship between mining and sustainable development. The CSMine software has been completely re-written in the Windows format. Seven new drillhole data sets have been included to offer more practice in applying the principles described in the text. Review questions and exercises have been added to the different chapters.
